Prints make the mix
Floral patterns are simply beautiful. Bold, colorful, floral fabrics can make dresses and other wardrobe essentials serve as classic statement pieces. My floral dress is designed by Luciana Scarabello. I've had it in my closet for four years and never worn it! It is a winning design by Luciana from the first season of NBC's Fashion Star in 2012. It is a sheath dress with cap sleeves and side hidden zipper. I paired the dress with duo tone purple and coral pumps with chain straps, and added a faux pearl ring for a touch of simple elegance.
Fashion Star was the show that featured very talented fashion designers competing for their winning looks to be sold immediately to customers online via H&M, Macy's and Saks. By Season 2, H&M was no longer part of the show, and Express came on board. The show wrapped after two seasons. This goes to show that you can't give up on a piece that was meant to stay in full bloom. I have a few other pieces from those shows and will pull those looks to feature on the blog soon.
